Soothe inflammation with pineapple

Pineapple has real benefits for many inflammatory complaints: Joint pain caused by osteoarthritis, sore muscles or swelling after operations or injuries - the fruit can have a supportive effect.

Studies with pineapple extracts show that pain and swelling decrease and inflammation is reduced. This is because bromelain inhibits certain signaling pathways and reduces messenger substances such as interleukins and TNF α.

Recommendation: eat 150-200 g of fresh pineapple daily (raw or in a smoothie). Adding ginger or turmeric has an even better anti-inflammatory effect. Soak dried pineapple in filtered water and consume. Caution: If you supplement with bromelain, make sure you take the correct dosage.
